Directions Getting to Georgia Tech from Atlanta’s Airport on MARTA
From the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), we recommend that you take the MARTA rapid train. Either of the train lines available at the airport will take you to midtown, where Georgia Tech’s campus is located. Get off at the Midtown station (also known as station N4). Several area hotels are within walking distance of the MARTA Midtown station.
Getting to the Center for Relativistic Astrophysics from MARTA’s Midtown Station
The Tech Trolley departs every 6 minutes (12 minutes during summer break) from the Midtown MARTA station toward campus. There is a Tech Trolley stop near the intersection of State Street and Ferst Street. The Tech Trolley is free. Once you’re on State Street walk south across the parking lot. Boggs building, location of the CRA is at the southern end of the parking lot.
Driving to Georgia Tech
If you are driving from the airport (from the south):
- Follow I-75/I-85 North
- Take exit 249D for Spring St toward W. Peachtree St
- Turn right at Linden Ave
- Turn left at W Peachtree St
- Turn left at North Ave
- Turn right at Cherry St
- Turn left at Ferst Dr
- There are hourly parking lots on Ferst St near Boggs Building.
If you are driving from the east or west:
- Follow I-20 into the city.
- Exit North onto I-75/85.
- Follow the instructions above
If you are driving from the north
- Follow I-85 South
- Take exit 249D towards North Ave.
- Turn right on North Ave.
- Turn right at Cherry St
- Turn left at Ferst Dr
- There are hourly parking lots on Ferst St near Boggs Building.
